As we near the end of November, we're also soon about to leave 2024, but not before one last month full of fun things to do locally.
December will start with the last chance to partake in the Sarasota Medieval Fair and Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival, with another free, three-day seafood and music festival by the same organizers taking place later in the month in Bradenton. Christmas and winter holiday celebrations including parades both on land and by boat, which have been taking place locally since early November, will continue throughout December. Then we bid farewell to 2024 with New Year's Eve festivities including a Floridian take on the traditional ball drop that's also one of Sarasota's biggest annual events.
There'll also of course be plenty of the concerts, stage productions, art exhibitions and other events our area hosts year-round. To help keep track of it all, here are more than 100 things to do in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties in December, listed in chronological order. Event details are subject to change.
